I am delighted to welcome you to the CNU 2026 Annual Research Symposium. This event celebrates the creativity, innovation, and dedication of the CNU research community, while providing a platform for students and faculty to showcase their scholarship and foster connections across disciplines. I am especially proud of the Faculty Planning Committee for creating opportunities for our students—the next generation of scientists, clinicians, and scholars—to gain valuable experience presenting their work, receiving constructive feedback, and building relationships that will support their future careers. I invite you to explore the remarkable projects presented here and to be inspired by the impact of research at CNU.

It is a privilege to welcome you to California Northstate University’s Research Day, scheduled for April 10, 2026. This annual event serves as a key platform for our academic and research community, bringing together students and faculty from across our six colleges: Dental Medicine, Graduate Studies, Health Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Psychology. Our gathering on this day not only allows us to present our research but also to exchange ideas, engage in mutual learning, and acknowledge the scholarly work of CNU faculty and students. The program will include presentations by nationally recognized speakers addressing current developments in health care and the sciences. These will be supplemented by poster and oral presentation sessions that illustrate the scope of inquiry across our disciplines. These sessions are designed to showcase research and provide a forum for scholarly exchange. We view CNU Research Day as more than a simple display of results; it reflects the curiosity, perseverance, and commitment that underpin the discovery process. The event also underscores the role research plays in advancing knowledge, informing education, and contributing to society. I encourage you to participate with an open mind and a spirit of collaboration, and to recognize the accomplishments we share. Let us use this occasion to raise new questions, foster new partnerships, and establish new directions for inquiry. Through these efforts, we continue to develop a culture of scholarship that strengthens our university and extends its influence beyond our campus.
