We prepared these online activities so that you may have an opportunity to earn CEs from past live events at your convenience and support your professional development goals.

Technical Information and Instructions to Access Courses

How to enroll into CNU CANVAS:

1. Choose your course. See the course descriptions and links to register in this catalogue.
2. Register. After you submit your registration form for the course, within 24 hours (or 72 hours over a weekend) you will receive a confirmation notice with instructions to access CANVAS and take the course.
3. Log into CANVAS. Your instructions to access the course will include a link to access CANVAS. Enter your email address as your username and create a password. Once you have logged into CANVAS, you are free to complete the course at the time you choose.
4. These are online home study CE activities that involve the following steps:
   • Step 1: Review Course Information, Accreditations and Complete the Pre-Activity Test
   • Step 2: Watch the video presentation.
   • Step 3: Complete the Post-Activity Test and Course Evaluation

After you have completed the steps required for the course, you will receive a certificate of completion with your CE credit or a notice to claim your CE transcripts via the CPE Monitor (for pharmacists). The turnaround time is typically within 7 days. We ask participants to allow for up to 14 days. Thank you.

Learning Objectives

This course fulfills the California Pharmacy State Board requirement for 1 hour of CE on Cultural Competency.

The Art of Teaching – Introduction to Dental Education (for CNU Faculty)

This course consists of 10 hours of on-line, on-demand materials followed by a two-hour de-brief session to allow you to engage with course faculty to address questions, share insights about the training, and consider how you will apply the course concepts to your faculty responsibilities.

Learner-Centered Activity

Learner-centered (Learn, Teach, Earn)

Learn Teach Earn (LTE) is a learner-centered CME program which allows faculty in practice (teaching, clinical or research) to earn CME credit for learning something new to improve their knowledge, competency, and performance.

This program is designed to capture the learning faculty do in preparing to teach medical students, and the activities are defined by the faculty and facilitated by the Accredited CME Provider, CNU College of Medicine.

There are two types of learning from teaching activities:

CME credit for LTE activities is calculated in quarter-hour increments of an instruction hour: .25, .5, .75, 1, and 1.25, etc.

Note: State of California Board of Medicine allows no more than one third of the required CMEs for maintaining your license to be attributed to LTE CMEs. For more information about CA State Board CME requirements and limitations go to: https://tinyurl.com/2tc75xsn

CNU Policy (Updated 08/26/26):

• A maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ may be awarded per the physician’s biannual licensing period.
• The CME claim for this activity will be reviewed and approved by the CE office prior to awarding CME credit.
• To ensure accurate annual CME reporting and program evaluation, participants should submit their CME Claim Form within 30 calendar days of the teaching activity.
• All activities completed during a calendar year must be submitted by January 31 of the following year.
• Claims submitted after this deadline may not be eligible for CME credit unless an exception is approved by the CME Office.
• Registration in the Learn Teach Earn Program remains active unless the participant withdraws from the program. To maintain eligibility for CME credit, participants must complete an annual disclosure form and confirm their desire to continue participating in the program each calendar year. Participants who do not complete the annual disclosure form may not claim CME credit until the disclosure requirements have been satisfied prior to preparing and teaching for CME credit.
