Yes. California Northstate University’s colleges hold accreditations and approvals from recognized continuing education accrediting and regulatory bodies, allowing eligible programs to offer continuing education credit for healthcare professionals.

• College of Medicine: Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME).
• College of Pharmacy: Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to provide continuing pharmacy education (CPE).
• College of Dental Medicine: Approved continuing education provider by the Dental Board of California and the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (AGD PACE).
• College of Psychology: Approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
• College of Health Sciences (Nursing): Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) to provide continuing education for registered nurses.

Yes. CNU offers live online courses, in-person streamed live courses, and home study courses.

Browse events and courses

1. Find your activity on the events and courses page, or in the upcoming activities above.
2. Review the activity flyer for the date, time, format, credit designation, and target audience.
3. Select the registration link on the flyer and complete the registration form.
4. Watch for a confirmation email with access or location details.

If an activity shows Flyer Coming Soon, registration is not open yet. Contact the CE office to be notified when details are posted.

1. Attend or complete the full activity.
2. Complete the activity evaluation and any required post-activity test.
3. Claim your credit through the instructions provided with the activity.
4. Receive your certificate or notice of completion, typically within 7 to 14 days.

Pharmacy credit is reported to CPE Monitor, so verify that your NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth are correct when you register. For certificate questions, contact the CE office below.

Physician CME credit is reported via CME Passport, a centralized database produced and managed by ACCME to track AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ CME transcripts. With this service, physicians will be able to keep track of all AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ CME records from CNU in one place. Each time you participate in a CNU CME activity, we will collect your license number and date of birth (MM/DD) to enter your CME credit into the record, which will automatically inform the Medical Board of California.
