3+4 Track — Maintenance & Progression
Maintaining Your Conditional Acceptance
Admission to the CNU College of Medicine is conditional. Students in the
3+4 BS-MD Early Assurance Honors Track must satisfy all maintenance and
progression requirements to retain their conditional acceptance to the
College of Medicine.
Requirements for Progression to the College of Medicine

Follow the 3+4 BS-MD Honors Track Curriculum Plan and successfully
complete all required coursework.

Maintain a cumulative CHS GPA of at least 3.6 every semester. All
coursework required by the 3+4 BS-MD Honors Track must be completed
successfully with a grade of B or higher on the first attempt.

Maintain full-time enrollment, completing a minimum of 12 CHS credits
during each Fall and Spring term.

Participate in at least one professional or academic activity offered
by the CNU College of Medicine each year, with a formal assessment and
evaluation.

Complete a capstone research project, thesis, or experience in biomedical
sciences, global health, or health equity before MD coursework begins.

Complete CHS Service-Learning experiential coursework.

Achieve a minimum MCAT score of 511, with no more than three attempts,
by the end of April of Honors Track Year 3.

Meet the CNU College of Medicine Technical Standards, with reasonable
accommodations at all applicable and relevant times.

Obtain a letter of recommendation from the CNU College of Health Sciences
Health Professions Advising Office.

Maintain satisfactory conduct and professionalism, as determined through
faculty reviews.

Submit an AMCAS application by the posted deadline, solely for the
purpose of validating benchmark achievements.
Important: Conditional Acceptance
Failure to meet any of the requirements above will result in the loss
of conditional acceptance to the CNU College of Medicine.
Students who lose standing in the BS-MD Early Assurance Honors Track may
be eligible to complete the BS Biomedical Sciences degree at the CNU
College of Health Sciences and may also be eligible for CNU CHS Pathways
opportunities.
