Application Requirements

To Be Eligible for BS-MD Honors Track Consideration Applicants Must Meet The Following Criteria

Category Admissions Criteria
High School Complete 4 Years of High School with:
  • 4 Years Mathematics
  • 3 Years of Laboratory Science
  • 3 Years of Social Science or Electives
  • At Least 3 Years of a Language Other than English
  • 4 Completed Honors, AP, or IB Courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math or English or Equivalent
  • Minimum Unweighted HS GPA of 3.8
SAT/ ACT Score a Minimum of 1400 for SAT OR 31 ACT
Experience Demonstrate a Significant Commitment to a Career in Healthcare (Volunteering, Shadowing, Research)
Personal Statement Should Describe Student’s Motivation for Pursuing a Career in Medicine and Demonstrate a Clear Understanding of the Physician’s Role in Healthcare
Letter(s) of Recommendation
  • One from a STEM Teacher
  • One from a Guidance Counselor or School Official
  • (Optional) One From a Healthcare Professional (if student has worked in Healthcare)
  • MAX 4 Letters of Recommendation will be accepted
Completed CNU Application Students Must Complete their CNU Application and Pay The Application Fee by the Deadline
Citizenship Must be a US Citizen or Have Permanent Residence
Interview Candidates will be screened by CNU Admissions Committees. Finalists will be selected to interview with the College of Medicine Admissions Committee.
Admission Students admitted to the BS-MD Honors Track will be termed “conditionally accepted” to the MD program at CNU’s College of Medicine. Such acceptance may be revoked if the student fails to maintain eligibility criteria during their time at CNU’s College of Health Sciences.
