4+4 Track — Maintenance & Progression
Maintaining Your Conditional Acceptance
Admission to the CNU College of Medicine is not guaranteed. Students in the
BS-MD Early Assurance Honors Track must satisfy all maintenance and
progression requirements to retain their conditional acceptance to the
College of Medicine.
Requirements for Progression to the College of Medicine

Maintain a cumulative CHS GPA of at least 3.6 each semester and complete
all coursework required by the CHS Biomedical Sciences Program, including
BS-MD Early Assurance Honors Track coursework.

Earn a grade of B or higher in all coursework on the first attempt. A
grade of B- does not meet this requirement.

Maintain full-time enrollment, completing at least 12 units during each
Fall and Spring term.

Participate in at least one professional or academic activity offered by
the CNU College of Medicine each year.

Complete a capstone research project, thesis, or experience in biomedical
sciences, global health, or health equity.

Complete CHS Service-Learning experiential coursework.

Achieve a minimum MCAT score of 511, with no more than three attempts.

Meet the
CNU College of Medicine Technical Standards

Obtain a letter of recommendation from the CNU CHS Health Professions
Advising Office.

Maintain good academic and professional standing.

Submit an AMCAS application for validation of benchmark achievements.
Important: Conditional Acceptance
Failure to meet any of the requirements above will result in the loss of
conditional acceptance to the CNU College of Medicine.
Students who lose standing in the BS-MD Early Assurance Honors Track may be
eligible to complete the BS Biomedical Sciences degree at the CNU College of
Health Sciences and may also be eligible for CNU CHS Pathways opportunities.
